QUARTERBACKS
Jaxson Dart is expected to undergo season-ending knee surgery after suffering damage to his MCL, PCL and meniscus. His ACL remains intact, with Jameis Winston taking over as the Giants’ starting quarterback.
Jayden Daniels is expected to miss significant time after suffering a dislocated elbow in Week 2. Marcus Mariota is expected to start in his absence.
Caleb Williams remains week-to-week with a hamstring injury, with the Bears yet to confirm who will start at quarterback in Week 3. Tyson Bagent is also dealing with an injury, leaving Case Keenum to take QB1 reps at practice on Wednesday.
Sam Darnold returned to practice on Wednesday as he continues to recover from a glute injury. Seattle plans to increase his workload throughout the week before making a decision on his availability by Friday.
Michael Penix Jr. will return from his ACL injury and has been named Atlanta’s starting quarterback against Green Bay on Thursday night. Penix was a full participant at practice throughout the week.
Kyler Murray has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to return in Week 3 after missing Week 2.
RUNNING BACKS
Saquon Barkley suffered a stinger on Philadelphia’s opening drive in Week 2 and missed most of the first half before returning. He played a reduced workload after returning, making both his availability and snap count worth monitoring heading into Week 3.
Jadarian Price is considered day-to-day after suffering a shoulder injury in Week 2. The injury isn’t considered serious, with Seattle expecting him to practice during the week.
Jeremiyah Love was limited at practice on Wednesday as he continues to manage an ankle injury. Love is currently considered questionable for Week 3, making both his availability and workload worth monitoring.
Jonathon Brooks has been placed on Injured Reserve after undergoing surgery to repair a core muscle injury. Carolina expects him to miss at least six weeks.
Aaron Jones did not practice on Wednesday after aggravating a knee injury in Week 2. Jones was able to play through the injury in the second half, but his availability is particularly important with Jordan Mason already on Injured Reserve.
Travis Etienne was limited at practice on Wednesday with a hamstring injury.
Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears both missed practice on Wednesday with ankle injuries, leaving the Titans’ Week 3 backfield uncertain.
Jonah Coleman did not practice on Wednesday after suffering a sprained ankle in Week 2.
J.K. Dobbins was limited at practice on Wednesday with a hip injury, while RJ Harvey was also limited with a hamstring injury. With Jonah Coleman also missing practice, Denver’s entire backfield is worth monitoring heading into Week 3.
Rico Dowdle did not practice on Wednesday with a toe injury, while Jaylen Warren was limited with a shoulder injury.
WIDE RECEIVERS
Jayden Reed has been ruled out against Atlanta with a neck injury and continues to undergo further testing. There is currently no timeline for his return, with Green Bay saying it’s too early to know whether he will play again this season.
DJ Moore returned to practice in a non-contact jersey on Wednesday and was listed as limited with his shoulder injury. It’s a positive step after suffering an AC joint sprain in Week 2, but his availability for Week 3 remains uncertain.
Ladd McConkey was a full participant at practice on Wednesday after playing through a rib injury on limited snaps in Week 2. His Week 3 snap count will be worth monitoring to see if he’s back to a full workload.
Nico Collins did not practice on Wednesday as he continues to recover from the hamstring injury that kept him out of Week 2.
Zay Flowers did not practice on Wednesday as he continues to recover from the hamstring injury that kept him out of Week 2. Baltimore has indicated that Flowers has a chance to return against Dallas.
Puka Nacua did not practice on Wednesday with a hip/groin injury. The Rams have indicated they are being cautious with his workload, making his participation later in the week worth monitoring.
Mike Evans suffered a hip injury in Week 2 and didn’t return, although Kyle Shanahan indicated he could have returned if the game had been closer. The injury will need to be managed throughout the week, with Evans missing practice on Wednesday.
Alec Pierce will be placed on Injured Reserve after aggravating the heel injury that required surgery during the offseason. Pierce will attempt to rehab the injury rather than undergo another operation, with the hope of returning around midseason.
Jalen Coker was limited at practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. Coker has played through the injury to start the season, but his participation remains worth monitoring after emerging as a relevant early-season Fantasy/SuperCoach option.
Michael Pittman was limited at practice on Wednesday with a foot injury.
TIGHT ENDS
Brock Bowers returned to practice on Wednesday as he continues to recover from the knee injury that kept him out of Week 2. The Raiders continue to consider him day-to-day, with his workload worth monitoring if he returns in Week 3.
Dallas Goedert suffered an MCL sprain in Week 2 and is considered week-to-week. He is expected to miss multiple games.
David Njoku has been placed on Injured Reserve with a fibula injury and will miss at least four games.
Charlie Kolar will miss Week 3 after undergoing surgery on his forearm, but the Chargers don’t currently expect him to require a stint on Injured Reserve.
Terrance Ferguson was limited at practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury.
OTHER SITUATIONS
Tucker Kraft is healthy, but Green Bay’s offensive line remains banged up. Starting guard Aaron Banks and tackle Zach Bako-Bewele have both been ruled out against Atlanta after injuries to the offensive line already affected Kraft’s role in Week 2. The Packers even considered using Kraft at offensive tackle, making his receiving usage worth monitoring on Thursday night.
Oronde Gadsden II could see an increased role with David Njoku on Injured Reserve and Charlie Kolar unavailable for Week 3. Both injuries leave the Chargers short at tight end heading into Buffalo.
Minnesota’s backfield could become very thin if Aaron Jones is unable to play. Jordan Mason is already on Injured Reserve, Jones missed practice on Wednesday with a knee injury and DeeJay Dallas was limited with a toe injury.
Denver’s backfield has three injuries to monitor heading into Week 3. Jonah Coleman missed practice on Wednesday with a sprained ankle, while J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey were limited with hip and hamstring injuries respectively.
Tennessee’s backfield is also up in the air, with Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears both missing Wednesday’s practice with ankle injuries.
